This excellent 1948 Jaguar MK4 2.5 Litre Saloon has had a ground up restoration to original condition around 20 years ago. The leather trim, chrome, engine compartment, wheels all restored to a high standard, the paintwork although older still presents well, it runs and drives very well as it should. Complete with all it’s original tools, beautiful Lucas P100 “Prince of Darkness” headlights, Smiths instruments, sliding Sunroof, and 18 inch Dunlop wire wheels. Produced in small numbers as a 1.5, 2.5 and 3.5 Litre before WW2 and known as the SS (Super Swallow), and renamed in 1946 as Jaguar, the cars did not change much, the model ran until 1949 and was replaced by the MK5. The 2.5 liter MK4 has a 6 cylinder ohv 2660c4cc engine with 105hp,and a 4 speed centre change gearbox, the 2.5 Litre MK4 was known as a strong and reliable luxury car with a sporty performance, 6281 were built between 1938/49. A rare opportunity.
