This charming 1926 Standard 12/24 “Dickey Seat” Roadster has had a ground up restoration to original specification, the paintwork, trim, hood and side curtains and engine compartment all present beautifully, original instruction manual and sales brochure accompany the car. It was sold new by the local agents, Duncan &Fraser Ltd in Adelaide (the body was probably also built by Duncan & Fraser) it’s first owner was from Sedan in the mid north of South Australia, it was found in complete condition in a thatched shed in Korunye in 1969. This model was built only in 1926, powered by a 1,944cc 4 cylinder overhead valve engine, it has a multiplate clutch with 3 forward gears, it runs and drives beautifully. The Standard 12/24 is probably the rarest of all the surviving Standard models, only produced in 1926. Has been on display in a private museum for many years, a lovely example.
