This wonderful 1926 Vauxhall 14/40 LM Princeton Tourer was restored in the 1970's, and remains in largely original condition. Recently recommissioned after long term storage, the last local owner for around 35 years. The paintwork and leather seats have been recently redone to a high standard, the wheels bake enamelled and new tyres fitted, the hood and side curtains are excellent, and the engine compartment is neat and as per original. This exceptional car is numbers matching (Engine no LM4533, Chassis no LM4528) and is fitted with it's original Australian Holden "Princeton" body, Lucas "Prince of Darkness" lights, Jaeger instruments, CAV generator, Watford FO4 Magneto and Stewart vaccum tank, it runs and drives very well with a sporty vintage performance. The Vauxhall 14/40 LM has a 2297cc 4 cylinder engine with a removable cylinder head of Ricardi design, a 4 speed right hand change transmission and 4 wheel mechanical brakes. The 14/40 LM series was among the last of the cars produced by Vauxhall during their golden years before GM involvement in 1926. A lovely and rare vintage car with an excellent on road performance.
