This wonderful 1926 Vauxhall 14/40 LM Princeton Tourer has not been restored and remains in largely original condition, having being repainted and trimmed around 50 yrs ago it now shows a lovely patina. The engine was comprehensively rebuilt within the last 1,000 miles with new high quality steel conrods, rebore with new pistons and remetaled bearings. A service file dating back 40 years accompanies the car, we believe only 3 family owners from new. This exceptionally original car is still fitted with its Holden "Princeton" body, Lucas "Prince of Darkness" lights, Jaeger instruments, CAV generator and Watford F04 magneto. It runs and drives very well with a sporty vintage performance. The Vauxhall 14/40 LM series has a 2.297cc 4 cylinder engine with a removable cylinder head of Ricardi design, a 4 speed manual transmission and 4 wheel brakes. This 14/40 Vauxhall was among the last of the cars produced by Vauxhall during their golden years before GM involvement in 1926. A lovely rare original car with an excellent on road performance.
