Fully restored a few years ago, this 1949 MG Y Type is in excellent condition. The paintwork, trim, carpet, hood lining, chrome, wheels and tyres and engine compartment are all great.. A detailed log of the restoration accompanies the car. The MG Y Type was produced from 1947-1953, around 8500 cars in total. The engine is a 1250cc overhead valve 4 cylinder with a delightful centre change 4 speed gearbox, has independent front suspension (quite advanced for it’s time). This lovely example has it’s original factory sun roof, Lucas “Prince of Darkness” headlights, Jaeger instruments, rear blind, semaphore traficators and SU carburetor, even has seat belts ,front and rear, it is a genuine numbers matching car. This MG Y Type is in lovely restored condition, it runs and drives superbly, a great rally car.
