This lovely 1925 Fiat 501 tourer has been subject to a comprehensive restoration in the 70’s, has had the same enthusiastic owner for almost 50 years. Sold new by Garratts Ltd in Sydney, they were also the coachbuilders. Restored to very correct factory specification , fitted with original 19” Sankey wheels, Marelli magneto, Fiat carburettor, instruments etc, options include original full width sunvisor and side wind protection screens. The engine was completely rebuilt in 2011 with new pistons, bearings, valves etc, since 2011 it has only been driven a few times, still requires running in! Although the paintwork is older it still presents well, the trim, tonneau cover, hood and side curtains, engine compartment, wheels and tyres etc are excellent, it runs and drives very well. The Fiat 501 was produced from 1919-1926, the engine is a 1460cc 4 cylinder side valve with a 4 speed right hand gear change, this example is the later desirable wide track model, it has a peppy performance and is lots of fun to drive. Rare to find a Fiat 501 in this condition.
