This 1964 Daimler V8 Mk11 Sedan is in excellent restored condition. Sold new 26/11/1964 by Bryson Industries Limited in Sydney, (the original purchase receipt is with the car). The Sherwood Green paintwork, cream leather trim, chrome, engine compartment, and wheels and tyres are all in very good order, it runs and drives beautifully. Recipts for substantial restoration work including professional rebuild of the engine with new pistons, bearings etc, cylinder head , auto transmission , brakes, retrim with lovely leather seats and the paintwork, mostly done around 10 years ago, and fastidiously maintained since. A comprehensive receipt file going back to 1985 accompany the car. The Daimler Mk11 has the wonderful Edward Turner designed 2.5 Litre V8 engine coupled to a Borg Warner auto trans, giving a smooth performance with more than ample torque and around 140hp. The engine is lighter than the equivalent Jaguar , less weight over the front wheels and easier to steer. The Daimler V8 engine has a more than comparable performance with the similar Jaguar. This is a very good example, i believe undervalued in the current market.
