This 1917 Dodge 4 Roadster is a genuine numbers matching car, it has been officially dated by the Veteran Car Club of Australia, it was found in the 1970's on a farm doing duty as a sawebench! Prior to being converted to a sawbench the Dodge had been remodelled into a utility for farm work. All the original parts were collected from around the farm, the front seat section had been cut off and placed upside down for use as a dog kennel and the rear body section was found in a paddock. This car has been well restored to original 1917 specification with 24inch detachable wooden wheels, Johns Manville spedometer, Boyce Motometer, and side wind deflectors. Although this car was restored over 35 years ago it still looks great, the paintwork, deep buttoned trim, hood and side curtains are all great, it runs very well. The Dodge 4 has a 26hp side valve 4 cylinder engine and a centre change 3 speed transmission.Finding a genuine Veteran Dodge 4 is rare, a roadster is extra special! The Dodge 4 was known a s reliable and strong performer. This excellent example is ready to use and enjoy, a great investment
