$0.00
This exceptionally original 1923 Chevrolet Superior B Tourer has had only 3 owners! Sold new by S A Cheney Motors, 22 Flinders St., Melbourne to farmers from Smeaton (near Ballarat), they ceased using it 70+ years ago, it was purchased in 1956 by the second owner who was attending the Ballarat School of Mines, the car was restored as a project by students in 1959, it was repainted and reupholstered, it still presents very well with a lovely patina. The third owner purchased it in 1989, he reconditioned the engine with new piston rings, exhaust valves, gaskets etc., the magneto, starter motor and vaccum tank were rebuilt also. Amazingly this car has not been driven on the road since! It has not been used much since 1956! The 1923 Chevrolet Superior B is a rare model, it differs from later models with 1/4 eliptic front springs, exposed tappets and magneto ignition. This wonderful car is incredibly original, it still has Barnett Glass tyres (this brand probably not produced after WW2!), 4 new tyres are also included if you wish to change them. it has all it original fittings, including Simms magneto, Honeycomb radiator core, Zenith carburettor, bevelled glass oval rear window and correct 1923 instruction manual, even the hood and side curtains are probably the original ones. This amazing" time warp" 88 year old Chevrolet has been recently serviced and recomissioned, it is now ready for its 4th owner!
