This charming 1928 Ford Model AR Phaeton is a genuine Australian delivered right hand drive example, it has had the same owner for the last 35 years, a comprehensive restoration to original specification was completed by him around 27 years ago. The paint, trim, hood, side curtains, chrome, engine compartment and wheels and tyres are all great, it runs and drives well as it should. This example is one of the first few thousand Model A's produced with the handbrake on the R/H side (rare in Ford circles as over 5 million Model A's were built!). The Ford Model A has a 4 cylinder side valve engine of 200.5 cubic inches, developing 40bhp coupled to a 3 speed centre change gearbox and decent mechanical 4 wheel brakes The Ford Model A has a very good reputation as a strong and reliable vintage car with an excellent performance, it's also fun to drive.
