This amazing 1924 Dodge 4 Buckboard was restored to original specification in the early 80's , it was sold new by "The Waymouth Motor Company" in Adelaide as a touring car and later professionally converted to a buckboard. This car was in the famous Australian Mini Series "All The Rivers Run" (1983-87), it has been in storage for many years. This car has spent most of it's life at Walleroo (in the mid north of South Australia), as you can see from the original sign on the side, it was used by a local businessman to deliver wood in the winter and ice in the summer! The paint, trim (including hood and side curtains), engine compartment etc present well, it runs and drives as it should. The 1924 Dodge 4 has a large "L" head, 26hp 4 cylinder engine and a 3 speed centre change gearbox. All its original features are retained, including North East starter generator, Eismann magneto and running board mounted fuel cans, its instruction manual and it's original keys are still with the car! The Dodge 4 was known as a strong and reliable model.1924 was the last year Dodge had the large desirable 24 inch detatchable wheels. This Dodge 4 has plenty of character, a great rally car.
